In order to
receive the certificate for this course, the student will be required
to successfully complete two assignments/ tests to the instructor's
satisfaction. The first assignment /test is required mid-way through
the program, and the second at the end of the program. Naturally,
students must also, in the opinion of the instructor, meet the
qualifications, standards, ethics, and ideals necessary to
successfully and responsibly serve the client as a professional
wedding consultant.
The International
Institute of Weddings, and its online wedding resource for brides,
SuperWeddings.com, is recognized as a respected resource and
authority on the subject of weddings. Every week, thousands of brides
to be, as well as wedding consultants from around the world, turn to
our online wedding guide for information about planning weddings. A
Wedding Consulting Certificate issued by the International Institute
of Weddings represents that the student has met the standards of
knowledge, service, quality and ethics that our name has come to be
known for.Therefore, in order to preserve those standards and to
maintain the integrity and reputation of this course, we reserve the
right to disqualify from the certificate program any student who, in
our sole discretion, and based on the conduct of the student through
our own dealings with her or him, is deemed unsuitable to be
certificated as a professional wedding consultant, or who does not
demonstrate the traits, characteristics or aptitude we deem necessary
for performing successfully and/or responsibly as a wedding
consultant. A certificate from the International Institute of
Weddings indicates that the consultant has mastered the concepts
taught through our in depth training and has demonstrated his or her
ability to meet the standards we set within the profession. Because
excellent interpersonal skills and responsible conduct are of
critical importance in this profession, any student who fails to
conduct him/herself in an orderly and professional manner may be lose
the benefit of the individualized attention and instructor
interaction, testing, and certification which we provide at no
additional charge when the course manual is purchased, and may
permanently lose eligibility to receive the certificate of
completion. While we have never yet had to take such action, such
decisions, if necessary. shall be made solely at the instructor's
discretion. Disorderly conduct includes, but is not limited to,
instances of blatant insubordination; disruptive behavior;
disregarding the instructors directions; poor, problematic,
offensive, tactless, or disrespectful attitude; or any form of
dishonesty. Any student whom the instructor deems necessary to cease
dealings for conduct reasons with will not be eligible for the
certificate or any form of refund.
The student may
take up to one full year to complete the course if required.
Extensions will be granted for students who present a valid reason
for the request, provided it in no way suggests to the instructor a
level of unsuitability or incompatibility for the profession.
Most students who
have a reasonable amount of time to put into the course, and who work
at it on a regular basis, complete the program in three to six months.
Students are not
obligated to submit the assignments /tests, and may purchase the
manual solely for the purposes of independent study, however, no
certificate will awarded to students who have not successfully
completed the assignments to the satisfaction of the instructor.
Because we provide testing, instructor assistance, and certification
at no additional fees to students who have purchased our training manual
(which is why our program is much less expensive than others that build
in testing fees, instructor support fees, and certification fees),
students are only being charged for the training manual, and
therefore no discount applies if you choose to simply purchase the
training manual without utilizing the instructor support, completing
the assignments/tests, or earning certification.
